Aileen Reynolds Sharp

Aileen Reynolds Sharp was born May 28, 1922 in LaFollette, Tennessee to David Reynolds and Nell Trammell Reynolds. She was the fifth child of a family of six. While in high school her first job was in People's National Bank, the bank her father founded. This began her professional career in banking. She attended Maryville College and Bowling Green College of Commerce in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She worked at the War Department in Washington, DC during World War II. On May 4,1941 she married James Lee Sharp. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage. He preceded her in death in 2003.They lived for 50 years in Little Rock, Arkansas. Aileen worked in banking for many years starting with Bank of Arkansas which became Worthen Bank. She retired from there in 1985 as Controller. Aileen was a member of Bank Women of Arkansas. Aileen Sharp was welcomed into heaven on March 31, 2012. She leaves behind a loving family, daughter Jimmie Lee Mobley and husband, Dr. Gary Mobley of Denison, Texas, son David Sharp and wife Paula of Boise, Idaho, brothers Jim Reynolds and wife Mildred and Jack Reynolds and wife Mary Lou. Grandchildren, Allen Mobley and wife Janet, Taylor and wife Kimberly, Jim Sharp, Coralee Sharp were so loved by her and called her Nana. Four great grandchildren, Erin Mobley, Tate Mobley, Damon Sharp, and Finley Mobley were a great source of pride and joy. Also, preceding her in death were a brother David Reynolds and sisters Mabel Hill and Jessie Gran. A great legacy that she leaves is the way she loved her family. Aileen made her home for the past nine years at Wesley Village in Denison, Texas. She had many friends there including residents and staff. She loved her caregivers that were her constant companions for the past few months. Aileen was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Little Rock and served on the board for many years. In Denison she was a member of Parkside Baptist Church. Graveside services will be in LaFollette, Tennessee on Thursday, April 5, 2012. Dr. Gary Mobley will be conducting.
