David H. Frieze, 82, of Hot Springs Village, Ark. passed away suddenly on Monday, April 2, 2012. David was born in Greenfield, Mo., on March 29, 1930, to Paul and Virginia Frieze. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1947 and attended junior college for two years before enlisting in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge from the USAF, David attended the University of Arkansas, graduating in 1955. After two years in law school, he began a successful career in the insurance industry working for Travelers Insurance and Reed Roberts and Associates. For the past 28 years, David H. Frieze Associates Inc. has been a Select Standard Affiliate of the Arkansas School Boards Association, providing important consulting services for unemployment benefits to ASBA member schools. David married Charlotte Deering Frieze on July 3, 1958 and settled in the St. Louis area. They moved to Hot Springs Village in 1983. David was a Life Master in bridge. His interests included gardening and many activities in and around Hot Springs Village. His greatest accomplishment and delight was being the head of his wonderful family. He is survived by Charlotte; their six children, Cindy (Joseph) Honigfort, Laura (Patrick) Eulberg, Leslie (Michael) Trudel, Lisa (Robert) Heap, Kimberly (John) Teal and Paul Frieze; nine grandchildren and his favorite dog, Charlie. Memorial service will take place on Tuesday, April 10 at 1 p.m. in Caruth Village Funeral Home. His remains will be interred during a ceremony in his hometown of Greenfield.
