Virginia Doris "Waters" Reandeau, 87, died April 10th at Ridgewood Health and Rehab in Benton. She was born in Havana, Arkansas (Yell County) on January 21, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents Franklin and Ola Waters; a sister, Marguarite Waters Majors; a brother, Scott Waters; her husband Clarence "Frenchie" Reandeau and a daughter Elizabeth Francis Reandeau. She is survived by her daughters Sharon (Terry) Kornas of Morrilton, Louise Parlier of New Brunswick, Georgia and Emily Callahan of Benton; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a special friend Terry Rowell. Virginia was lovingly known as "Bum" to her grandchildren. She was a member of Lifeline Baptist Church in Little Rock, Westwood Garden Club, Southwest Sewing Club, the St. Theresa's Quilting Club and Rosedale Opti-Mrs. Club. Virginia was a seamstress by trade and worked at the Fabric Center in downtown Little Rock before working out of her home making custom draperies, clothing and doing alterations. She worked for a short period of time for the Little Rock Census Department in Little Rock and served as a Crossing Guard for the City of Little Rock Police Department in the 1960's and 70's. She attended Arkansas Tech in Russellville before returning home to Danville. On a trip with her mother to Little Rock, she met Frenchie who was on his way to be deployed for WWII. They married in June of 1942 and upon return from his tour of duty, made her home in Little Rock where she reared her children. She was a patient, understanding, loving Mother, Grandmother and friend. She was a strong Christian woman. Most of the people she met, fell in love with her and counted her a friend for life. She has impacted many lives and will be missed. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 12th in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home at 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas 72002 (501) 455-1067. Virginia's Funeral service will follow visitation beginning at 2 p.m. with burial in Pinecrest Memorial Park with Brother Jeff Dial officiating.
