Lucille Moore

Lucille (Novy) Moore, 88, of Little Rock, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at UAMS. She was born April 10, 1924 in Dardanelle, a daughter of the late Joe and Mary (Pazdera) Novy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Moore, who died February 22, 1988; and a sister, Rosia Minden. She was a graduate of Dardanelle High School. Lucille loved gardening and fishing. She was a former Girl Scout Leader. She worked for the Jacksonville Arsenal during World War II; and was a retired book keeper for Little Rock Children's Clinic. A member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, she was an active member of the Altar Society; and enjoyed taking care of and cleaning the church building. In fun, she was referred to by many of the parishioners and even Clergy of Good Counsel as the "Mother Superior." Survivors are her daughter, Rosemary Williams-Hill and husband Garth Hill of Little Rock; a sister, Inez Geurian of Dardanelle; granddaughter, Mary Plouch of Sherwood; grandson, David Williams of California; great-grandchildren, Laura and Conner Plouch of Sherwood; and her special cat, "Shadow." Visitation will be 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012, with rosary at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Father Richard Zawadski officiating. Burial will follow in Little Rock National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Our Lady of Good Counsel, 1321 South Van Buren, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204 or the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75231.
