Omega Sue Roark

Omega Sue Helms Roark of Drasco, age 68, left for her Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. She was born Saturday, May 22, 1943 to Hansel Preston Helms and Mary Omega Spinks Helms and was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother and "Granny Sue." She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Brenda Kaye Helms. She leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Kay Bowers Roark, two sons; Christopher Bowers Roark and wife Tana of Drasco, and Clifton Dale Roark and wife Mandi of Concord, and one daughter, Terri Kay Cornett and husband Kenny of Drasco. She was "Granny Sue" to Cheyenne, Mary Hannah, Jacob, Luke, Gracie, and Bo. She was "Great-Granny Sue" to Ty. She leaves behind a brother, Preston Helms and wife Sally, one sister Robin Sellnow, and another sister Tracy Bowman and husband Clint, all of Drasco. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 18th at the Heber Springs Funeral Home in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Services will be Thursday, April 19th 10 a.m. at Oak Grove Church in Drasco. Brother Darvin Carlton will be officiating. Pallbearers are Brad Helms, Matt Helms, Clay Dickerson, Hanse Bowman, Jacob Roark, Luke Cornett, and Bo Roark.
