Flora Terryl Glass

Flora Terryl Glass of Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2012. Flora was born November 29, 1947 to Walter and Ella Kathryn Jones Scott. In 1978 she married Lester Glass who was her dearest partner in life for 30 years until his death in 2008. Life's challenges gifted Flo with a deep compassion for others and a generous heart that allowed anyone in without question. Affectionately known as "Flo Bell" she never hesitated to open her home to a friend in need, provide a shoulder to cry on, or laugh with and cheer on the ones she loved. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend. A trip to the casinos, playing her computer games, reading a good book, and most of all telling stories and reminiscing with family were a few of the things she loved. Mornings would find her sitting at her kitchen table drinking her daily cup of coffee for a few quiet minutes before the first friend of the day stopped by to join her. Flo is survived by her children Bobby Cates of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mary (Tim) Hunter of Hensley, Arkansas, Sue Ann (Ahmed) Rashwan of Little Rock, Arkansas and Jennifer Glass of San Jose, California, brother James Scott (Tina) of Horn Lake, Mississippi, sisters Geneva (Audie) Richardson of West Helena, Arkansas, Debbie (Thomas) Acree of Cordova, Tennessee, as well as nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, her nieces, nephews, cousins and countless devoted friends. Flo is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ella Scott, her husband, Lester Glass and sister, Irma Faye Lumpkins. Celebration of Life services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 (501) 455-5800.
