Carol Sue Wallace-White

Carol Sue Wallace-White, 69, of Monticello, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. Born November 24, 1942, in Jones, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Hollis T. and Mary Belle Taylor Locke. She was a Registered Nurse, member of Pauline Missionary Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School class, life member and past President of Junior Auxiliary, member of Beta Sigma Phi, loving wife, mom, grandmama, friend, and caretaker to all. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Richard Wallace of Monticello, and her sister, Dolores Michel of Marksville, Louisiana. Survivors include her husband, Darrell White of Monticello; two sons, Robert Wallace and wife Dee Ann of Henderson, Texas, and Russell Wallace and wife Kacie of Hamburg; a daughter, Rhonda Huffman and husband Brad of San Antonio, Texas; two stepsons, Brian White or Wetumpka, Alabama, and Jimmy White and wife Mendy of Calhoun, Louisiana; one stepdaughter, Carrie Kindrix and husband Steve, of Bastrop, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Kyler, Guy, Isaac, Luke, Rhett, Annabelle, Nate and Harris; nine step-granchildren, Mark, Shannon, Blake, Zach, Noah, Dalton, Phillip, and Josie; two step-great-granddaughters, Danielle and Gianna; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Pauline Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday, August 2, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Funeral services will also be held at Pauline Missionary Baptist, Friday, August 3, at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Promise Land Cemetery in Ashley County, with arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
