DELBERT WAYNE JOHNSON, 71, of Sherwood passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012. Delbert was born in Little Rock to the late John A. and Ruby Caldwell Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bobby Joe Foster; four sisters, Louise Smith, Alma Mahnick, Wanda Jackson and Betty Connor. Delbert retired from the Veterans Hospital. He was a navy veteran and served during era of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Jacinto Masonic Lodge 216. He enjoyed his family and friends. He will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty Johnson; two daughters, Kim Smith (Brad) of Bradford and Barbara Cash (Dr. Steven Cash) of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Phoebe Smith, Andrew Cash, Matthew Cash, and Caroline Cash; one sister, Margie Hale; and long time friend and fellow worker, Rick Quick, and host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be at 9 a. m., Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacinto Masonic Lodge No. 216. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at the funeral home.
