Rev. L. B. Jordan, age 80, our loving husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the God he loved on Aug. 3, 2012. He was born on Jan. 31, 1932 in Malvern, Ark. to Garland and Naomi (Wallace) Jordan. Rev. Jordan was a Southern Baptist minister for over 50 years. He pastored churches in Arkansas and Texas. He was Director of Missions in the Red River Baptist Association and retired from the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Ruth Beard Jordan. "Daddy B" was the proud father of three children, Lynn Jordan and wife, Kathy, of Rogers, Ark., daughters, Jennifer Babcock and husband, Rex, of Chanute, Kan. and Nancy Sanders and husband, Doug, of Hot Springs, Ark.; six grandchildren, David Jordan, Kristen McCauley, Benjamin and Kate Babcock and Melissa and Zach Walker; two great-grandchildren, Kiana Jordan and Aiden McCauley; a brother, Lloyd Jordan and his wife, JoAnn, of Arkadelphia, Ark., and numerous other family and friends. L. B. was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012 at Chapelwood Funeral Home in Nash, Texas. Please join the family in a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Wake Village, Texas, with Rev. John McCallum officiating. Burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Ouachita Baptist Student Foundation or a charity of your choice.
