Jackson R. Reeves

JACK R. REEVES, 86, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012. He was born Jan. 1, 1926 in Louisiana, and spent his childhood in Prescott, Ark. He was a veteran of WWII. Upon discharge from the Navy, he studied at John Brown University and worked in television/radio broadcasting. He was the owner of the KENA radio stations in Mena, Ark. from 1967 until his retirement in 1987. First ordained a deacon in Stephenville, Texas, he served most recently at Immanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. Reeves and Clara Reeves; one son-in-law, Del Rees; a brother and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Paul Reeves; one daughter, Jacqueline Rees; and two nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Immanuel Baptist Church Chapel, with Dr. Rex M. Horne and Reverend Rick Jaggars officiating. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501)224-8300.
