JAMES HOWARD FROST, 74, of Little Rock, passed away Aug. 9, 2012. He was born Oct. 1, 1937 in Savannah, Ga. to the late Howard and Mary Louise McDowell Frost. He graduated from Benton High School in 1955. James had a BSCE from the University of Arkansas. Prior to graduating, he spent three years in the Army Security Agency. Following graduation, he worked as a structural engineer, becoming a registered Professional Engineer in 20+ states and was elected to the Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineering. He then switched his emphasis from engineering to information systems and served as the corporate Vice President of Computer Services for a large Multinational corporation for 18 years prior to joining Kansas Power and Light. After taking early retirement from KP&L, he relocated to Little Rock and finished his career with the Little Rock Wastewater Utility. He is survived by his wife, Joanne McAlister Frost of Little Rock; son, Ronnie Frost and wife, Tina of Franklin, Tenn.; daughter, Roxanne LeCroy and husband, Bobby of Allen, Texas; brothers, Boyd Frost and wife, Sharalee of Salt Lake City, Utah, Richard Frost of Springdale, Ark.; sisters, Betty Frost of Springdale, Ark., Barbara Frost of Springdale, Ark.; sister in law, Mary Lynn Bell and husband, Charles of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; nieces, Crystal Reeves and husband, Brad of Van Buren, Ark., Shaneen Tuley of California; grandchildren, Haley Frost of Franklin, Tenn, and Jonathan LeCroy of Allen, Texas. Cremation was through Ashby Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at Highland United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
