Brenda Sue Wallace

Brenda Sue "Susi" Wallace, 56, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012. She was born on December 9, 1955, the youngest child of James M. Wallace Jr. and Mary Jo Webb Wallace. She was raised on the family farm at Pettus in Lonoke County and attended school in Lonoke; graduating from Lonoke High School in 1974. Susi was also a graduate of St. Vincent's School of Radiologic Technology, Grady Memorial Hospital School of Radiation Oncology Technology, Atlanta, Ga., received her BS degree from the University of Central Arkansas and her MA degree from Webster University. She worked as a radiation therapist in Little Rock, Houston, Texas, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Charlotte, N.C. She loved her job and strived to give her patients a positive outlook on their prognosis. Susi loved to cook, travel, snow ski, and visit with family and friends. She enjoyed her yearly trip with former high school classmates to a cabin at Jasper where old friendships were renewed. She was of the Methodist faith. Susi was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tommy and Joey; grandparents, James Morton and Louise Wallace and Woody and Olive Webb, all of England, Ark. She is survived by her sister, Linda Marlow and husband, Bill of Jacksonville, Ark.; brothers, Jimmy Wallace and wife, Becky of England, Ark. and Ronald Wallace and wife, Sheree of Lonoke, Ark.; special nieces, Donna Payne, Tammy Green, Lee Ann Winkler, Lesley Abohammdon, Carey Jo Wallace, and Jamey Wallace; nephew, Will Marlow; and six great-nieces and nephews. She had two "special" dogs, Alex and Rudy, who were her constant companions and brought her much happiness. Susi was so dearly loved by her family and we have truly suffered a great loss. A graveside memorial service will be held at Mulberry Cemetery, England, Ark., on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. Immediately following the service, a visitation will be held at Landmark Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
