Emily Sue Silverblatt Edrington, 87, of Osceola, Arkansas passed away August 11, 2012. Emily was born in Memphis, Tenn. on December 24, 1924 to Dave and Nancy Silverblatt. She attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and was a majorette for the University marching band. Emily returned to Osceola and married her childhood sweetheart, Joe William Edrington (Bill Joe), on August 10, 1945. Shortly after they married, Bill Joe left for the Philippines to serve in the US Army. When he returned they started their family. Emily was a stay at home mom, but was very active in her community. She was a member of the Junior Auxiliary, PEO and the First United Methodist Church, and loved to play bridge. She was the owner and operator of the Town Shop for several years. Survivors include one daughter, Susan Colford (Tom) of Little Rock, Ark.; two sons, Joe W. Edrington, Jr. of Bartlett, Tenn. and David Clay Edrington of Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Skinner, Meredith Agostinelli, Molly Berry, Bill Joe Edreington and Justus Collier Edrington; five great-grandchildren, Clay Skinner, Ellen Skinner, Charlie Berry, Baylor Berry and Evelyn Grace Agostinilli. Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Joe William Edrington, her parents, Dave and Nancy Silverblatt and a brother, Charles, W. Silverblatt. The visitation will be held at Roller Swift Funeral Home in Osceola, Ark. from 11 till 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial following at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Osceola, Ark.
