Lula Dell Waddle

Lula Dell Waddle (Ms. Lucy), 78 years young, left us for her heavenly home on August 7, 2012. She was 1 of 13 children born to R.A. Rice and Eva Rice- Chitwood, both of whom preceded her in death. Lula Dell was born on April 10, 1934 near Sweet Home, Arkansas. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Rex Waddle and her youngest son, Bobby Randall Waddle. Ms. Waddle is survived by her daughter, Deborah Rogers-Fisher of Memphis, Tenn.; her son, Billy Richard Waddle (Sharon) of Hot Springs, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Cindy Waddle of Longmont, Colo.; and her two sisters, Ruth Boughn (Marshall) of Monticello, Ark. and Helen Eason of Wright, Ark. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, which completed a five generation family prior to her death. Ms. Waddle was a long time resident of Mountain View Towers in Hot Springs and was affectionately known as Ms. Lucy, the flower lady. She maintained the flower gardens during her residence for 13 years and was loved by all that knew her. She called Memphis, Tenn. her home for the past two years where she lived with her daughter Debby. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials to be sent to the Methodist Hospice Residence, 6416 Quince Road, Memphis, Tenn. 38119, Attention: Dee Flood. Memorial service will be 10 a.m., Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Wilson officiating. Guests may register at www.caruth-hale.com.
