Rev. Carliss J. Odom, 85, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012. He was an evangelist for over 40 years and a member of First Baptist Church in Little Rock for over 60 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Melba Odom; five daughters, Carlene Gentry (Rev. Keith) of Wayne, New Jersey, Diane Fiscus (Glenn) of Jacksonville, Vanita Moore, of Jacksonville, Rhonda Riley (Roger) of Little Rock and Vonda Odom, of North Little Rock; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Earlene Vines, of Hope. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight H. and Nora I. McCoy Odom; and two brothers, Bob and Don Odom. Memorials may be made to Central Arkansas Cerebral Palsy, 9720 North Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72227. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
