LaKhiva Cheliegh Blann, of Little Rock, Arkansas, conceded life on Saturday, August 18, 2012. LaKhiva's joyous journey began March 8, 1971 to the delight of the late Earnest L. Blann Sr. and Queen Ester Blann. Under the tutelage of Beebe Chapel Church, Wrightsville Arkansas, LaKhiva confessed her soul and spirit to Christ in the dawning years of life. Her Christian devotion and foundation carried through adulthood in fellowship at St. Mark Baptist Church. After graduating from Wilbur D. Mills High School in 1989, driven to expand her horizons, LaKhiva built upon her early education by achieving a Bachelor of Science Health Education with a specialization in Community Health from University of Arkansas at Little Rock, 2000 and a Masters of Public Health Degree from University of Arkansas Medical Sciences, 2005. Her career in health and sales began in the Pharmaceutical and Medical industry. This career path led her to numerous awards, recognitions, and several leadership positions in the industry. Over the years, LaKhiva expanded into entrepreneurship by becoming the Founder, CEO, and Artistic Director for "LcB Nail Lacquer." Currently, "LcB Nail Lacquer" is available in six (6) retail stores. LcB has been represented at New York Fashion Week 2011, Designer's Choice Dallas 2011, featured in Arkansas Times Magazine, Arkansas Business Magazine, KORE, Ay, Crème, Soriee, and Linger Magazines. LaKhiva leaves to cherish her memories: Anthony Green (finance) of Little Rock, Ark., one brother, Earnest L. Blann Jr. of Little Rock, Ark., two sisters, Delisa (Robert) Hall of Haymarket, Va., and Kimberlyn (Rodney) Anderson of Little Rock, Ark., niece, Colea and nephews, Cameron and RJ, a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and life-long friends. Visitation hours will be Friday, August 24, 2012, 6-7 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 1709 John Barrow Road, LR (501) 223-8811. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012, 11 a.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church, 5722 West 12th St., LR (501) 663-3955. Interment will follow at Rest in Peace Cemetery, Hensley, Ark.
