David Lee Green

David Lee Green, age 60, of Searcy, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in Searcy. He was born Friday, August 1, 1952 in Batesville, Arkansas to Coy William Green and Clarine Virginia Brewer Green. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Searcy. David was a professional educator for many years, serving in teaching and administrative roles to the communities he served. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra Green; three sons, Joe David Green and wife Nicole of Valdosta, Georgia, Jason Robert Green and wife Donna of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jay Michael Green and wife Ashleigh of Conway, Arkansas; three brothers, Tommy Green and wife Carolyn of Sidney, Arkansas, Wilbur Green and wife Jean of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Teddy Green and wife Alana of Batesville, Arkansas; one sister, Mary Foster and husband Eddie of Overland Park, Kansas; three granddaughters, one grandson, and several cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Clarine Green; and one brother, Danny Joe Green. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Searcy. Interment will be Friday at 4 p.m. at Gravel Hill Cemetery near Piggott, Arkansas.
