Susan Gregory Baldwin

Susan Gregory Baldwin, born August 23, 1961 and passed over into glory Feb. 7, 2012 after an extended illness. Survived by her life partner, Angela Baldwin of Sophia, North Carolina and son, Joshua T. Gregory of Cannon Beach, Ore.; and two beloved grandchildren, Scott and Jacie Gregory, also of Cannon Beach, Ore. Other family members include her father, Shelby Davis of Maumelle, Ark. and mother, Kay Wilson of Mabelvale, Ark. her brother, Mark Davis and sister, Lisa Warner also of Mabelvale, Ark., as well as two nieces and two nephews. Ms. Baldwin was a long-time resident of Benton, Ark., before relocating to Sophia, North Carolina. She was recognized in Benton as the owner and operator of Darlin's Café and Bakery, and received numerous honors locally as a respected businesswoman. She was a skilled chef and baker, as well as being a talented visual artist and photographer. Ms. Baldwin was active in serving her church community, being a member of Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church of Little Rock, Ark. She was a very talented vocalist, performing as a soloist and choir member. Ms. Baldwin will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a constant shining light and inspiration in many lives. A celebration of her life was shared Monday, February, 13, at Quapaw Quarter UMC. If persons wish to send, in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory, her family asks that gifts be sent to the ministries of Quapaw Quarter UMC.
