Edward "Smitty" Smith

Edward "Smitty" Smith of Little Rock, Ark. born August 22, 1930 passed February 23, 2012. He served the community for over 40 years in various capacities. He started out as a barber in the Village Square area, later moving down the street and opening the Ebony Club. During his tenure as a businessman, he was also a great asset to other individuals who also wanted to start businesses. His love, kindness and his giving heart will truly be missed. Survived by wife; Picola Smith, four sons; Don (Theresa) Brown, Victor (Ivory) Smith, Michael (Shanita) Smith, Quintin Smith, one daughter; Linda Smith, one brother; Harold (Trudy) Smith, nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Family Hour will be held Wednesday February 29, 2012 at Gunn Funeral Home Chapel from 6-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Cannan Baptist Church, 1700 South State St., LR, Ark. 72206.
