Goforth Gordon Coleman

Goforth Gordon Coleman 70, of Little Rock, Ark. passed February 25, 2012. He was known for his compassion, gentle spirit, and giving heart. Goforth was a devoted family man, community oriented and an advocate for humanity. He was preceded in death by both parents, Rural and Sallie Coleman; brother, Chester Coleman; and sister, Pauline Coleman Trotter. Goforth was a graduate of Horace Mann High School Class of 1961 and Philander Smith College Class of 1965. He is survived by his son, Derrick Coleman (Kristi); daughter, Ashley Coleman both from Little Rock; five grandchildren, Kolbi, Kaydon, Kristian, Asheik, and Skye; brothers, Edward (Bernadette) and Melvin (Stephanie); sister, Mary Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 3, 2012, 11 a.m., at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 1109 S. State Street, Little Rock, Ark.
