Steven Randall Thurman

Steven Randall Thurman, age 52, of Little Rock, AR passed away on February 27, 2012. He was born on December 23, 1959 in Crossett, Ark. to his parents, Marion and Lila Thurman. Steve was a 1978 Crossett High School graduate. He graduated with a BS Degree in Journalism and Public Relations from ASU in 1983. Steve then graduated with a Masters' Degree in Education from UCA in 1995. He taught in Arkansas Schools at the Junior and Senior High and college levels. Steve also traveled with the United States Navy and taught English courses. Steve was a member of the Episcopal Church in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Thurman. Survivors include his mother, Lila Thurman; a brother, Doug Thurman and his wife, Kristi; a niece, Katie Thurman and a nephew, Taylor Thurman, all of Crossett, Ark. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., March 1, 2012 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Griffith officiating. Interment at Crossroads Cemetery at a later date under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com). Family requests that donations may be made to a charity of choice.
