Jerry Ford, age 70, of Crossett, Ark. passed away at his home on Jan. 2, 2012. He was born April 7, 1941 in Milo, Ark. and has been a resident of Crossett for the past 50 years. He was employed at Georgia Pacific Tissue mill, a Hamm radio operator and a member of Crossett Masonic Lodge No. 576. Mr. Ford was also a member of Beech Street Baptist Church. Mr. Ford was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Ona Pogue Ford and a brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Carolyn Ford. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Shirley Heinley Ford; three sons, Mike Ford (Donna), Alan Ford (Kathy) both of Loginville, Ga., Tommy Woods (Shelia) of Crossett; one sister, Shirley Ray (Lonnie) of Crossett; one brother, David Ford (Martha) of Hamburg; four grandchildren, Amy and Glen Ford of Loganville, Ga., Jonathan Woods of Orlando, Fla., Natalie Harrison of Wentzville, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, Conner and Alicia Harrison of Wentzville, Mo., Nathan and Gracie Young of Loganville, Ga. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at Judson Baptist Church with Bro. Roy Craig officiating. Interment will follow at Judson Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
