Joseph Delbert West

Joseph Delbert West, 99, of Drasco, Arkansas was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday January 17th, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Ina Evelyn Spinks West, a son Oran B. West, a grandson Jackie West, his parents Joe and Lillie Endsley West and his brothers, Deward West and Kyle West. He is survived by a son, Jack West of Drasco, a daughter Sue Beal and son-in-law, Vern Beal of Drasco, a son, J.D. West and daughter-in-law, Sue West of Drasco, a son, Jimmy West and daughter-in-law, Sharon West of Jacksonville, Arkansas, a daughte-in-law, Carolyn West of Drasco, and a daughter, Becky West Kuykendall and son-in-law, Bill Kuykendall of Germantown, Tennessee, a brother, Johnny S. West of Drasco, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, many other family members and friends. Delbert West was a lifelong resident of Cleburne County, Arkansas and one of the pillars of the Oak Grove Church, Wolf Bayou, Arkansas. He was an avid sports fan of all sports in the Drasco and Concord area. He was known as "the ole Pro." He greatly enjoyed all God's nature and was most content on the creek or in the woods. Visitation will be 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Thursday, January 19th, at the Heber Springs Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 10 a.m. Friday January 20th, at the Oak Grove Church, Wolf Bayou, Arkansas, with interment at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
