Jarrett McFarlin

Jarrett "Mac" McFarlin, age 67, of Cabot went to be with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012. He was born Oct. 24, 1944 in Evening Shade, Ark. to the late Ky and Vera McFarlin. He was a United States Army veteran and a Green Beret. He was employed with the Federal Aviation Administration in Little Rock, Rescue Helicopter Pilot for the White County Sheriff's Department, retired police officer, and a member of Pilots for Christ. He was preceded in death by one step-grandson, Mathew Mitchel; siblings, Riley McFarlin, Marie Kissimme, and J.A. McFarlin. He is survived by his loving wife Dixie McFarlin of the home; children, Tonnette Maness of Kentucky, Leon McFarlin of Jackson, Tenn., Shelby Bender of Jackson, Tenn., step-children; Steven Blake of Colt, Ark., Mellody Mitchel of Bull Shoals, Ark., Randall Blake of Benton, Ky.; grandchildren, Nathan Maness, Chelsea Maness, Alliegh Bender, Robin Bender; step-grandchildren, Steven Mitchel, Heather Curtis, Samantha Carver, Brad Blake; step-great-grandchildren, Michael, Aden, Audry Mitchel, and Emily Rose Blake. He is also survived by his siblings: Ina Spurlock of Masa, Ariz., Shelton McFarlin of Cave City, and Dewey McFarlin of Pleasant Plains. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Reverend Murlie Branscum officiating, Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
