Charles Harold Ball, 69, of Benton entered Heaven's gates on Saturday, July 28th, 2012. He was born in El Paso, Texas on February 7th, 1943. He graduated from Central High School and attended L.R U. He proudly served his country in the US Airborne Army. Charles retired from Lucent Technologies after 34 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was a coach and the BBAA District Commissioner out of Little Oaks Ball Park in Mabelvale. He was a faithful member of the Northside Church of Christ in Benton. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Linda of 45 years; his son Chuck and wife Kristy; three grandchildren, Dylan, Faith and Ashlynn; his granddog Oscar and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss him dearly. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 1st, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Northside Church of Christ with Brother Chuck Ball and Brother Jim Gardner officiating. Burial will be private. Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, (501 )455-1067.
