Glenn Adams, 77, of Alexander, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012, at his home. He was born March 17, 1935, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, a son of the late David Elton "D. E." and Amanda Lois (Brown) Adams. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wilma E. (Rorie) Adams; his daughter, Sharon (Adams) Beggs of Little Rock; his son, Andrew G. Adams of Fayetteville; his brothers, David E. Adams, Jr. of Frisco, Texas; Dwight M. Adams of Alexander; John C. Adams of Haskell; a number of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was a 1953 graduate of Mabelvale High School; received his BS in Accounting from LRU (now UALR) in 1963. He was a United States Air Force Veteran during the Korean War; and worked for the Internal Revenue Service as an Exempt Organization Auditor for 26 years. Glenn has been an active member of Western Hills United Methodist Church since 1943 and served in many capacities, as well as a founding member of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. Glenn was a true family man and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the lake, camping, boating, fishing, skiing and also enjoyed square dancing for many years with the Square Mixers and the Yellow Rockers. After retiring, Glenn and Wilma traveled the Western United States in their RV. They began cowboy action shooting known by their aliases "Deadeye Duke" and "Deadeye Duchess." Deadeye Duke was able to live his passion of shooting as a member of SASS (Single Action Shooters Society) belonging to the local clubs Mountain Valley Vigilantes, Outlaw Camp and True Grit. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at the funeral home. Funeral will be 10 a.m., Thursday, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, with Reverends Sylvia Narsic and Lloyd Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Alexander, with members of the Mountain Valley Vigilantes serving as pallbearers, under the direction of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock. 501-661-9111.
