Ed Franklin Claxton, age 76, of Jacksonville went to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2012. He was born October 25, 1935 to the late Earl and Marie Claxton in Tuckerman, Arkansas. He was a retired automotive mechanic and a United States Army Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife Virginia Claxton, one son Ed Claxton Jr. of Jacksonville, step-children; Larry Yandell of Jacksonville, Angela Yandell of North Carolina, Shirley Rose of Little Rock, Charlie Rose of North Carolina, siblings; Reba Sohn, Tommy Claxton, Titus Claxton all of Tuckerman, one grandson Josh Claxton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank the staff of the VA Hospital in Little Rock for all the care that was given to Mr. Claxton. May God Bless You All.
