George D. Phillips

George D. Phillips, age 83, of Mabelvale, Ark. passed away June 9, 2012. He was born April 2, 1929 in Greenbrier, Ark. to the late James Phillips and Versie (Hostiter) Phillips. Mr. Phillips was retired from ABF Freight after 40 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Sylvia; sisters, Lilly Bell Waggle, Olie McCall and Josie Foster; and brothers Eddie Phillips and Junior Phillips. Survivors include two sons, Terrey D. Phillips of Hensley, Ark.; George R. and wife Becky Phillips of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Daniel Phillips, Adam Phillips and Sarah Ann Berger; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2012 at Griffin Leggett Healy & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 661-9111 with Brother Larry Ballard officiating.
