Danny Franklin Nixon

Danny F. Nixon Sr., 79, passed away on June 18, 2012. He was the son of E.H. Nixon and Ava Reynolds Nixon. Danny is survived by his wife, Susan Nixon, his children; Danette, Neil, Ava, Charles Daniel, Danny Jr., and Donna. Additional survivors include 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Danny graduated from Arkansas Teachers College (UCA) in 1953, where he was a member of the Kappa Chapter of Phi Alpha Zeta. Danny was commissioned in the Navy in 1956, serving honorably in both active duty and reserves until 1976. Danny has been a long time resident of Lonoke, where he owned and operated Nixon Minnow Farm. The Family asks in lieu of flowers to send all donations to Arkansas Childrens Hospital or McClellen Veteran's Hospital. No services are planned at this time.
