Roberta Virginia Coe Biggers, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 18, 1918, at Tuckerman, to William Walter and Ruth Bliss Coe. She was a graduate of Tuckerman High School and Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She taught fifth grade in Newport for 25 years, and, following her retirement, moved to Russellville. She was a member of three bridge clubs, two which met on Monday and one which met on Thursday. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was in the P. K. Merrill Sunday School Class and Circle I. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. C. Biggers; a brother, Robert Bliss Coe, and a great-niece, Alyssa Little. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Coe and Marie Biggers of Russellville; two daughters, Mary Bliss Biggers Jackson and Jayne Biggers White, both of Maumelle; six grandchildren and their spouses, Jeffrey Toler and his wife, Gail, and Mark Toler and his wife, Julie, all of Atlanta, Ga., Kimberly White Jenkins and her husband, Tim, of Maumelle, Amanda White De Journett and her husband, Jamie, of Supply, Ark., Jayme Biggers Jones and her husband, Carter, of Rogers, and Coe Biggers and his wife, Miki, of Fayetteville; six great-grandchildren, Autumn Bliss Toler, Allie and Justin De Journett, Madison Jenkins, and Ellie and Mayes Jones; two sisters, Rosemary Coe Hubbard of Conway, and Margaret Ann Coe Huckabee and her husband, Charles, of Irving, Texas; as well as several nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Gail Brooks. Burial will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, at Gracelawn Cemetery in Tuckerman, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
