Raymond Edwin Daril

Raymond Edwin Daril, age 76, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Daril was born March 24, 1935, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, a son of the late Richard Ernest and Stella Turley Daril. Mr. Daril was reared and received his education in North Little Rock, graduating from North Little Rock High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. Upon completion of his Air Force duty, he attended Little Rock Junior College (now the University of Arkansas at Little Rock). He attended Air Traffic Control School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration in Pine Bluff as an electronic engineer. He retired in 1990. Mr. Daril was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Pine Bluff and the Phillips Hunting Club in Monticello, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Daril. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Pauline Tribble Daril, whom he married May 29, 1959, in North Little Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Ginger Daril of Little Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Dennis VanVeckhoven of White Hall; four grandchildren, Tyler and Morgan VanVeckhoven of White Hall, Chase and Alec Daril of Little Rock; and a sister, Virginia Boyce of Little Rock. The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, March 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. Graveside services will be Monday, March 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Cypress Memorial Gardens, 8917 Hwy. 15 South in Pine Bluff, by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Buddy Lemons officiating.
