William J. Kidd

William J. Kidd, 85, of Bauxite, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012. He was born October 19, 1926 in Shaw community to the late Moses and Annie Stone Kidd. William served in the Army during WWII, Korean Conflict and Vietnam, retiring as a Major. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bettie Kidd, brother, Gean Kidd and sister, Mary Jane Allinson. Survivors, son, Bill Kidd Jr., daughters, Anice Tedford and husband, Bruce, Karen Heiwig and husband, Mike, grandchildren, Rebecca Hackworth and husband, Matt, Samantha Tedford and fiance', Jeff Vitols, great-grandson, Jaxon Vitols and sister, Boise Reaves. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Mark Norman officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
