Gwen Rose Moffatt

Gwen Rose Stone Moffatt, age 73, of Crossett, Ark. passed away on March 3, 2012 at Life Care Rehabilitation Center in Farmerville, La. She was born on June 12, 1938 in Warren, Ark. to her parents, Shelton and Ollie Mae Smith Stone. Mrs. Moffatt was a 6th grade Science teacher for over 40 years, having taught in the Ashley and Bradley county areas. She was also a cheerleader sponsor for many years in Crossett and involved in many student activities. Mrs. Moffatt also enjoyed photography. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Moffatt was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pamela Mary McGriff. Survivors include nine cousins, JoAnn Stone Johnson of Fordyce, Ark., William Tracy Stone of Holt, Mo., Wiley Cecil Stone of McGehee, Ark., Tommie Jo Wagon Stockley of Marion, Ark., Nick Wagon of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Mike Burns of Decatur, Ga., Donald Stone, Rob Stone and Joe Jay Stone, all of Santa Fe, N.M. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jamie Staley officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Warren, Ark. under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com). Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time.
