Maude (Shubert) Brannon, 96, of Cabot, Arkansas, was born December 13, 1915, at Cabot, Arkansas, to Carl and Mary (Carmical) Shubert, and she died Sunday, April 29, 2012. Before her retirement, she was a cook for the Jacksonville and Cabot School Districts. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cabot. Maude was an avid gardener who loved flowers. She was very generous in giving to others. She is survived by three sons, E. Wayne Brannon (Barbara) of Jacksonville, Vernon "Buzz" Brannon (Patricia) of Cabot, and Thomas Carroll Brannon (Devona) of Cabot; five grandchildren, Cindy New, Michael, Mitchell, Tom and Matthew Brannon; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two nieces, Barbara Raley and Kathy Ragar; one nephew, Dwight Shubert; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Wiley and Betty Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy J. Brannon; her parents; sisters Elzera Gwin and Dorothy Brannon; and brother, Elmer "Ed" Shubert. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Cabot.
