Jannie Katherine Greenfield

Jannie Katherine Decker Greenfield of Jacksonville, Ark. passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012. She was born April 11, 1930 in St. Louis, Okla. to Eddie Decker and his wife, Edna Sewell Decker. She is survived by three sons, Ron and his wife, Marecil of Ft. Smith, Ark.; Larry and his wife, Karen of Camden, Ark.; Keith and his wife, Asenette of Hot Springs, Ark.; three daughters, Pam Keeling and her husband, Thomas of St. Joe, Ark.; Janet Jamieson and her husband, John of Enid, OK; Mary Sims and her husband, Mike of Sherwood, Ark.; one brother, Paul Decker of Stillwell, Okla.; one sister, Dorothy Galibecka of Lakeland, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Faye Decker of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 18 grandkids and 24 great-grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; one grandson Scott Keeling; one great-grandson, Jayden Clemens; four brothers and five sisters. Jannie was handy with a needle and enjoyed crocheting and sewing clothes for her family and friends. When asked her age, she often answered with one of her favorite quotes "Old enough to know better and too young to resist." She loved going to church and Sunday school at Crystal Hill Assembly of God. If the church doors were open she wanted to be there. She looked at her work as a CNA in Nursing facilities and home health care as a ministry. Being God's hand extended to those that needed help in caring for themselves. She loved her Lord and Savior. The pallbearers will be her grandsons, Steven Greenfield, Sean Keeling, Lance Keeling, Eric Greenfield, Michael Sims, Kevin Sims and Joshua Greenfield. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Jamieson. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501-791-7400), 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, Ark. 72116. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Newman officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Stone Cemetery, St. Joe, Ark.
