Lena Codean Jobe

Lena Codean Jobe, 90, of Vilonia, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012. She was born Jan. 13, 1922 in Griffithville, Ark. to the late William Henry and Gladys Kelley Strickland. Codean was also preceded in death by her husband, O.E. (Buck) Jobe; a sister, Leslie Henrietta Isreal; two brothers, David Beldon Strickland, and Robert Lee Strickland. Codean was a long time member of the Naylor Methodist Church. She loved to quilt, crocket, tending to her flower garden, and spending quiet evenings on the porch. More than anything she enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Codean is survived by one son, Jimmy O. Jobe and wife Sondra; brothers, Haskle Dale Strickland and Kenneth Darrell Strickland; sister, Doris Marie Richards; grandchildren, Chad Jobe and wife Sarah, Derek Jobe and wife Tyra, Tonyna Jobe Beene and husband Matt; great-grandchildren, Nathan Lovell, Skyelar and Carter Jobe, Jolena Beene and many family and friends. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Naylor Methodist Church, with her brother, Kenneth Darrell Strickland and Bro. Harold Claassen officiating. Burial will follow at Naylor Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Jobe, Charles Wayne Jobe, Jason Jobe, Ronnie Harrison, Tim Richards, and Mark Richards. Forrest Jobe will be serving as honorary pallbearer. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway (501-327-7727).
