Eldene Bell Nichols

Eldene Bell Nichols passed away May 16, 2012 at the age of 92. She was born on April 12, 1920, to the late William Washington Bell and Margaret Shock Bell of England, Arkansas. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, James Clifford Nichols; daughter, Brenda Forthman (Henry); son, Jim Nichols (Sara); grandchildren, Phillip and Tim Forthman, Lauren Batson (Todd), and Mark Nichols. She leaves three great-grandchildren, Michael Forthman, Jack and Sara Catherine Batson; one nephew and two nieces. She retired from the Arkansas Department of Education and was a devoted member of Fairview Park Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 505 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Brother Dennis Carrow. Private entombment will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
