Bonnie Jones Bayird

Bonnie Dean Jones Bayird, 68, of Star City, Ark., formerly of Dumas passed away October 9, 2012 in Star City. She was born February 15, 1944 in Morrilton, Ark. to the late Audie E. and Effie Mae Jordan Jones and was a member of Oakwood Bayou Church in Gould, Ark. She was a member of a bowling team in Monticello, she loved needle work, painting and loved her grandchildren very much. Bonnie was a dental assistant for V.O. Johnson for 10 years. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Travis, Kenny and Audie Jr. Jones and one sister, Glenda Mizell. Survived by two sons, Christopher (Sam) Bayird, Pine Bluff, Ark. and Joey (Johnna) Bayird, Dumas, Ark. and one daughter Regina (Gary) Frizzell, Pine Bluff, Ark. Also one brother, E.D. Jones, Gould, Ark., six sisters, Erma Carr, Monticello, Ark., Shirley Johnston, Drasco, Ark., Betty Williams, Dumas, Ark., Beverly Hopper, Star City, Ark., Lou Dwinell, Owasso, OK and Sandy Climer, Tulsa, Okla. Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel and services Friday, October 12, 2012, at Abundant Life Church in Dumas at 10:00 am followed by burial at Dark Corner Cemetery, Gould, Ark. with Rev. Spencer Berry officiating. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Gardner Nursing Center or Abundant Life Family Life center. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Home, Dumas, Ark.
