Willie Mae Neal

Mother Willie Mae Neal, 105, of Little Rock, died October 7, 2012. She was born May 4, 1907, in Camden, Ark. to the late Doc and Ellen Neal. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Sams, her sons, Robert L. Sams, and D.L Sams; sisters, Vera Williams, Roosevelt Browning, Janie Torrance, and Ruth Holcomb. Survivors include her granddaughters, Dorothy Benson and W. Mae Sams, both of Little Rock, Ark.; Joy Gatewood, of Independence, Mo.; Cheryl Diaz-Franklin, of St. Paul, Minn. Other survivors include great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Family hour will be Friday, October 12, from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at St. Peter's Rock Baptist Church. Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, October 12, at 11:00am at St. Peter's Rock Baptist Church, 2201 S. Brown St., Dr. J.E. Booker, Officiating.
