Arvil Pherson Jackson, age 87 of Little Rock, passed away on October 22, 2012 at Mabelvale, Ark. He was born on September 18, 1925 in Hazen, Arkansas; he was the son of Cary Vernon Jackson and Betty Leona Jackson. Arvil was a retired truck driver for Pat Salmon and Sons. He was a member of Olive Hill Missionary Baptist Church and a WWII Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Genevieve Parks, and wife Patsy. Survivors include daughters Leann (Jon) Poteet of Sherwood, and Suzan (Steve) Brasseal of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Stephen (Jordan) Brasseal, Connor Poteet, Sean Brasseal, one great–granddaughter, Alexis Brasseal; brothers, Carthel (Ida), Harold (Loretta), Herbert (Clara), Charles, Melvin (Peggy), Owen Jackson. Special acknowledgments to his caregiver Christina Onecic, who provided amazing care and love of our Father, and nurse practitioner Cathy Mclain and the VA Foster Program. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Little Rock. Burial with military honors will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
