Billie Jean Bishop

Billie Jean Brents Bishop age 86, of Opelousas, Louisiana, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012. She was born on April 23, 1925, in Cleveland, Arkansas, a daughter of William Oscar and Alma Mae Medlock Brents. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leland Bishop; sisters, Lila Reid and Iva Wells; brother, George Calvin Brents and an infant son, Jerry Don. Survivors are two daughters, Norma (Ray) Russell of Kenwood, and Georgia (Sam) Price of Opelousas, Louisiana; a son, James (Sue) Bishop of Carthage, Texas; five grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Brents Cemetery with Bro. Dwight Scott officiating.
