Benjamin "B.F." Franklin McGraw

Benjamin Franklin "B.F" McGraw Jr., 97, of Star City died Wednesday in Star City. He was born July 6, 1915 in Star City to the late Benjamin Franklin and Katie Belle Eastham McGraw. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Star City where he was a Deacon for 47 years and was a retired farmer. Besides his parents, Mr. McGraw was preceded in death by four brothers, Grover McGraw, Frank McGraw, Sam McGraw and Vern McGraw and seven sisters, Hallie Steed, Mary Stephenson, LaVetra Armstrong, Thelma Silberstein, Hazel Lewis, Dorcas Farley and Vivian Bailey. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Rickett McGraw of Star City, whom he married in 1942; three sons, Ben McGraw and wife Shelley of Burlingame, Calif., Rick McGraw and wife, Nancy of Little Rock and Johnny McGraw and wife Nancy of Star City; one sister, Katie Jacks of Fort Smith; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Star City. Bro. Bill Berry will officiate. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until funeral time Monday at the church. Burial at Drake Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Wilcox, Randy Morgan, Greg White, Gary Thompson, Barry Boren, Robert Smith Floyd and Darrell McGee. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Star City, 200 W. Wiley Ave., Star City, Ark. 71667. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
