Betty Jane McAdams

Betty Jane McAdams, 83, of Camden, Ark. went to be with the Lord on Oct. 27, 2012. She was born on Sept. 13, 1929 in Springhill, Ark. She was a retired business owner and a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She was happiest when she was spending time with her grandchildren. Her passion and joy was loving her family and friends and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Charles McAdams; one daughter, Melanie Sheppard; one son, Rodney McAdams; three grandchildren, Charlie Sheppard, Brittany McAdams, and Gracie McAdams; one great-grandchild, Bentley McQuary; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Gracie Rush Kidd from Springhill, Ark.; one sister, Evelyn Quillin from Benton, La.; and four brothers, Garland Kidd, George Kidd, Cecil Kidd, and Hubert Kidd, all of Springhill, Ark. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
