Charles Henry Riggin Sr.

Charles Henry Riggin Sr. died from complications of Alzheimer's disease in Rockville, Md. on October 18, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Mary (deceased) and the loving father of Mary and Charles Henry Riggin, Ph.D., Mary Adaline Lewis, Charles and Frances R. Province and Linda Copeland (decreased). He was also the grandfather of Eric Riggin, Denise Lewis Mouyaga, Rosa Copeland Bagwell and James Copeland and six great-grandchildren. Charles was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific under the command of Gen MacArthur. Upon returning from the war, he moved his family to California where he worked in a variety of jobs, including the town milkman. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Martindale Cemetery in the Maumelle area on May 24, 2013 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, Nat'l Capitol Ave., 11240 Waples Rd., Ste. 402, Fairfax, Va. 22030.
