Maria Kaleta

Maria Gierburger Kaleta, age 93, of Cabot went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012. She was born Sept. 7, 1919 in Odessa, Russia to the late Nicholas and Anna Gierburger. She was a retired school teacher who taught at St. Michael's Catholic School in Derby, Conn. She was a faithful member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Kaleta. She is survived by her sons, Nicholas J. Kaleta and his wife Judy, Edward J. Kaleta and his wife Celie; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
