Thelma "Punkin" Mason

Thelma "Punkin" Mason, age 84, of Searcy, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 in Little Rock. She was born Aug. 1, 1928 in Tuckerman, Ark. to Thomas Nathaniel Pennick and Viloa Greer Pennick. She was a member of Downtown Church of Christ since 1969. She worked many jobs and excelled at each of them. She is survived by Grady Mason, husband of 65 years; one daughter, Melody Ransom and husband C. E. of Searcy; five grandsons, Chase Ransom and wife Katie of Little Rock, Seth Ransom of Searcy, David Ransom and wife Tam of Little Rock, Greg Ransom of Charlotte, N.C., Randy Ransom of Lubbock, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Reece Ransom, Ryan Ransom, Julia Ransom, Chris Ransom; and a host of precious family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, T. N. and Viola Pennick; one sister, Anna Mae Lightfoot; one brother, Frank Pennick; and an infant son, Thomas Edward Mason. Funeral services are Sunday at 2 p.m. at Downtown Church of Christ. Interment will be at White County Memorial Gardens. Following the interment, the family will receive family and friends for a time of celebration at the Downtown Church of Christ.
