Zubie Joe Barnett

Zubie Joe Barnett, 80, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013. Zubie was born on October 2, 1932 to Joseph and Zubie Borneman. She was a loving wife, mother and dear friend to many. Zubie was a person of great character, wit, independent strength and intelligence. She dedicated her life to loving, caring and providing for her family. Her family feels blessed to have had the opportunity to love her and treasure the time they shared with her. Zubie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.J. Barnett and her parents. She is survived by her son, Richard Steven Barnett and daughter Phyllis J. Barnett-Cook both of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Heidi Williams, Joseph Barnett, and Zachary Barnett; two great grandchildren, Aleigha and Jasmine Williams. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 5th at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills, 10200 Hwy. 5N., Alexander, Arkansas. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the chapel with burial following at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
