Janie Amine Grubbs Deal

Ms. Janie Amine Grubbs Deal passed away peacefully in Macon, Georgia on August 6, 2013. She was born on September 4, 1924 to the late Nathanial G. Grubbs and Ida May Knowles Grubbs. She was raised in Monticello, Arkansas and moved to Little Rock as a young adult where she was employed at Lewis and Norwood Insurance Company as an adjuster until her retirement. She was married to the late Lindsey Deal. She is survived by her loving sister, Carolyn Hancock of Conway, Brothers Calvin (Audie May) of Texas, and Kelly of Monticello. She also is survived by her stepchildren, Ron Deal (Becky), Larry Deal (Diane), Sarah Gibbert (Vince) and Chuck Deal, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Travis, Keith and Russell Grubbs and a stepson, Bill Deal. A memorial graveside service will be held on August 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in c/o Flint River Memory Care Center, 250 Water Tower Ct. Macon, Georgia 31210.
