Maurine Ainley Cockrum, 87, of North Little Rock, departed this life on August 25, 2013 at her home of 53 years, surrounded by family. She was born September 19, 1925 in Carthage, Missouri to the late Charles and Hazel Ainley. Mrs. Cockrum was a member of the Eastern Stars. Maurine was an avid bowler for approximately 45 years and made many lasting friendships there. Maurine and her husband, Floyd , loved to camp and were members of the Good Sam's RV Club. Maurine was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Floyd Eugene Cockrum; sister, Constance Montgomery; brother, Charles Ainley, Jr.; and son-in-law, Norbert Miller. Survivors include one sister, Dayna Spencer of Webb City, Missouri; daughters, Connie Miller, of North Little Rock, Cynthia Fleming (Richard) of Benton; grandchildren, Shelly Miller, Chris Fleming (Angie) of Stow, Ohio, Wesley Miller, of North Little Rock and Victoria Fleming, of Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Nicole, Nicholas and Emma as well as a host of other family and friends who will miss her dearly. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
