James "Jim" R. Golman, 82, of Benton, Ark. went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013. He was born July 10, 1931 in San Gabriel, Calif. to the late Robert L. Golman and Grace Miller Golman. He was an Air Force Veteran Staff Sergeant serving in the Korean War and stationed in Japan for 2 ½ years. Retired from Southwestern Bell and AT&T with 35 years of service; and member of Telephone Pioneers. He was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church since 1975 and served faithfully as a Deacon; taught the youth and was a member of the adult choir. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Golman. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet Golman; son, Tim (Jennifer) Golman of Benton; three grandchildren, Chelsea (Nathan) Hand; Sydnee Golman and Courtney Golman. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church with Dr. Paul Sanders officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209 (501) 455-5800.
